To Save Document Onto Disk:
Press Ctrl + S to SAVE.
Type name of file for example: a:resume when saving to Drive A:.
NOTICE: Please be very careful where you save your documents. Make sure you pay close attention to the drive and subdirectory where your file is being saved.
To Retrieve Document:
Press Ctrl + O for open.
Type a: then press Enter to get a list of all your files on your disk.
Type in the name of your document, then Press Enter.
To Perform Spell Check
Press F7 on the keyboard or
Press ALT + T and Press (S) or
Click the button the top menu bar with the letters ABC.
To Set Line Spacing:
Move to the very beginning of your document.
Block your text by holding down the Shift and arrow keys or use the mouse.
Highlight entire text.
Press ALT + O for the Format menu, then Press (P) for Paragraph.
Press ALT + N and choose the spacing you want then press enter.
To Set Margins:
Press ALT + F for the File menu, then press (U) for Page Setup.
Press ALT + M for Margins.
Use the TAB key to highlight the different margin options.
Use the arrow keys to change the size of the margins, up or down.
To Change Fonts:
Block the desired text which you would like to change.
Press ALT + O for Format then press (F).
Use the TAB and arrow keys to change the text.
To Connect to a Printer:
Press ALT + F to bring up the File menu.
Press (P) for Print.
Highlight the OK using the TAB key and Press Enter or double click OK.
To View a document
Press ALT + F for the File menu.
Press (V) for print preview.
To return to your document. Press ALT + F then Press (V) or
double click on Close
To Set Page Numbers
Press ALT + I for the Insert menu then Press (U) for Page Numbering.
Use the TAB key to highlight the different page numbering options.
Use the arrow keys to change the position and alignment.
To Insert a Table
Press ALT + A then Press (I).
Select the number of rows and columns desired then Press Enter.
To change any settings in the table, Press ALT + A and use the
TABLE menu.
