FACILITIES
The
ITS Public Computing Labs are located
on the first floor of the West End Building (WEB). It is BC's largest, most
modern computer facility. The Labs are home to over two hundred new
computers and five classrooms. Referred to as WIN/PC
room A, WIN/PC
room B, SUN/UNIX,
MULTIMEDIA,
and Video
Conference, these rooms can be reserved for classes through either the Scheduling
Department or by the Lab managers. The Labs also have a room for Adaptive
Technology. To reserve a room, fill out a
Room Request form and bring it to the Front Desk at the Lab.
Classroom A, Classroom B, and Multi-Media Classroom each contain the newest computers, GX620's, along with all the latest software.
- 250 computers in an open area, including 100 brand new PCs - more computers
than the previous Labs combined, including more than double the amount of
brand new Sun/UNIX computers
- Free, centrally located B&W printing facilitated by OCS, along with
low cost color printing
- 21 Express printing computers
- Centrally located, private tutoring area
