| How do
I get a computer or an upgrade to my computer? |
 |
| The college is committed to ensuring that all full-time
faculty and staff are equipped with a suitable desktop
computer. All new full-time faculty are allocated a desktop
computer upon arrival. In addition, the college expects
to follow a multi-year equipment replacement cycle through
which each faculty member's PC will be upgraded or replaced
periodically. Requests for computer equipment, including
software applications and accessories, should be directed
to the Department Chairperson. If the request cannot be
funded from the Department budget, then the request can
be endorsed and forwarded by the Chair to the Provost's
Technology Committee for possible funding from annual
college-wide budget allocations |

| How do
I get connected to the college network? |
 |
Most of the rooms on campus are capable of being connected
to the college network and the college is committed to
connecting as many computers as possible to allow users
to gain access to the many network based applications
and services. However, since cable installation is expensive
and time-consuming, please do NOT request cabling for
locations that will not have a PC available in the near
future. Send your request to ITS in writing or via e-mail.
The request must include:
Your office location
The type of computer you want connected to the network
Whether you already have a network card or require
one
How our cabling techs can gain access to your office
Any special requirements or urgent timing deadlines
Please note that this information is important as it
allows us to ensure that your connection will be a smooth
and successful one. Cable requests may take from several
days to several weeks to be completed depending on the
current backlog.

| ITS does not register custom domain names. Faculty or
