Welcome to the I.T.S. web site!
I.T.S., the primary
technology organization at Brooklyn College, exists to provide technological leadership
and support to the campus. To that end, I.T.S. provides a suite of basic services,
while working with users to implement new and useful technology tools that allow
them to do their jobs more efficiently and more successfully.
During the past decade,
the college has made substantial strides in expanding the use of technology to
support its teaching and administrative mission. Nearly 800 computers serve students
in dozens of lab and classroom facilities. All faculty, staff, and students have
sophisticated e-mail capabilities. The college's web site publishes thousands
of pages of useful information and provides easy access to directories, calendars,
student information, course information, publications, and even real-time views
of our campus via our LibCam and QuadCam! The college has automated its student
information systems, its registration process, its advisement process, its accounting
systems, inventory and facilities systems, and so much more! Brooklyn College
is a leader in CUNY in the use of technology in teaching and a pioneer in the
use of the Web to provide virtual and partially virtual course offerings.
As BC enters the new
millennium after an extensive Y2K corrections, our users benefit from;

linked by secure, sophisticated high speed networks
• Over 3,000 desktop computers to support its mission
• Sophisticated technology integrated into its instructional
offerings
• Innovative support systems to assist its faculty
and staff
• Technologically sophisticated support systems and

• A leading edge, heavily used Internet and Web presence
The Staff at I.T.S.
is proud of what's been accomplished in partnership with our users, and we will
continue to provide "dial tone" support of existing services while building
innovative new systems to meet the needs ot the college.
